Google PageRank is updating / Future PageRank estimators
Google’s PageRank is in the process of updating right now, and sometimes you may see the new PageRank for your websites, but don’t be suprised if you get a PageRank of 0. It’s a normal behaviour that occurs every Google dance. In approximately one week, it should settle to the final PageRank.
The Google dance happens every 4 months, although not regurarly. This time the update was late.
In the meanwhile, you can check an approximation of your future PageRank at www.futurepagerank.net. Mainly there are two types of PageRank estimators. Some use Google’s various datacenters to estimate your future PageRank, but some use their own algorithm, which is supposed to be similar to Google’s algorithm for defining the PageRanks. However, I don’t recommend the latter since it’s not very accurate.
FuturePageRank.net queries Google’s numerous datacenters, which is the most accurate way of estimating the PageRank.
In related news, all my websites are gaining PR this update, Geekshout is probably going to have a PR of 5, while Geekpedia raises to PR 6 from 5.
