Time’s Persons of the year: Bill and Melinda Gates, Bono
A couple of weeks ago I placed a link to the Time’s person of the year pool. I obviously voted for Bill and Melinda Gates. And the winner is: Bill and Melinda Gates, and Bono of U2.
Bill Gates donated almost 60% of his wealth up to this day, and he’s planning to donate 90% before he dies. That is a truly amazing gesture. How many of you would have the courage to donate 90% of your wealth to charity? What other wealthy CEO does this? Having money makes you want even more money, thus having billions doesn’t mean it’s easy for him to give them away.
